Birdie Sling
This honey of a sling holds everything and it's easy to make! (Great for beginners.) Modern styling and dynamic proportions will make this one of your favorite carry-all bags!
Materials List
Allow extra yardage for matching or centering a design on your fabric.
If using 44inch wide light to mid-weight fabric (quilting fabric)
1 1/8 yards for the Exterior
1 1/8 yards of a coordinating fabric for the Bands and Handles
1 1/8 yards of a 3rd coordinating fabric for the Lining
3 1/2 yards of 20inch wide woven fusible interfacing
If using wide heavier mid-weight fabric
5/8 yard for the Exterior
1 1/8 yards of a coordinating fabric for the Bands and Handles
1 1/8 yards of a 3rd coordinating fabric for the Lining
3 yards of 20inch wide woven fusible interfacing
PLUS (for either weight fabric) you'll need:
1/2 yard of 44inch wide fusible fleece
1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread
Finished size: 28inch tall including Handles x 18inch wide
